1. Who we are

FORGE: Habits is an iOS habit tracking application developed and operated as an independent app. For questions about these terms, contact us at: hello@forgehabits.app

As a developer based in the Netherlands, these terms are governed by Dutch law and are consistent with EU consumer protection regulations.

2. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using FORGE: Habits, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

3. Use of the app

You may use FORGE: Habits for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

• Use the app in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract the source code
• Use automated tools to access or interact with the app
• Create fake accounts or manipulate league rankings through dishonest means
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users through any competitive or social features
• Upload or share content that is illegal, offensive, or infringes on third-party rights

4. Account and data

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password with others. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Your habit data is yours. We do not claim ownership over your personal data. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your data.

5. Purchases and subscriptions

FORGE: Habits may offer optional paid features ("Forge Pro") through Apple's in-app purchase system. All purchases are processed by Apple and subject to Apple's Terms of Service and refund policies.

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID account settings
• We do not process payments directly and do not store payment information
• Refund requests must be directed to Apple in accordance with their policies

6. Competitive features

Forge includes competitive features such as leagues, battles, and leaderboards. These are intended to be fun and motivational. We reserve the right to:

• Remove users from competitive features who are found to be cheating or manipulating scores
• Modify or discontinue competitive features at any time
• Reset rankings or XP in cases of suspected abuse

Winning or losing in any competitive feature has no real-world monetary value and confers no rights to compensation.

7. Intellectual property

The FORGE: Habits app, including its design, branding, code, and content, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for personal purposes.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our app or branding without explicit written permission.

8. Disclaimers

FORGE: Habits is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be available at all times, error-free, or that it will meet your specific requirements.

Habit tracking and personal development results vary by individual. We make no claims that using Forge will produce any specific health, productivity, or lifestyle outcomes.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data or loss of revenue.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time. You can delete your account from within the app settings, which will permanently remove your data from our servers.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the app for users who violate these terms, with or without notice.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of Dutch courts, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer under EU law.
